This is the last chance to sign up for the Greater Owensboro Economic Development Corporation's inaugural Economic Development Citizen Academy. The Academy will kick off on Thursday, January 27, 2011 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Commerce Center. Topics for the first session include an overview of the Owensboro economy and new business attraction strategies employed by the EDC to attract new business into the region.
The Academy is an effort to continue to encourage public involvement and understanding of economic development. EDC President/CEO Nick Brake said over 30 citizens have already signed up for the program, but spaces remain.
